Second suspect arrested over assault at Eid show in Maduvvari

A second suspect has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a group of people spectating the Eid show in Raa Maduvvari.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the suspect, aged 29, was arrested under an arrest warrant last night (Wednesday).

Police said that the suspect also obstructed and attacked a team of police officers who went to the island to arrest him and another person last night, and that he was arrested by a back-up force that visited the island later.

A 17-year-old was arrested three days ago, on suspicion of assault during the eid show in Maduvvari.

The police spokesperson said that the attack on the police team will also be investigated.
