Manadhoo Council seeks to lease land in exchange for TV, sofa set

Noonu Manadhoo Council has made an announcement regarding leasing a piece of land in the island, on the condition that the council is provided with a TV and a sofa set.

The announcement states that the land will be leased for 15 years to a party that provides a flat-screen TV, an eight-seat sofa set, and MVR 3,000 as monthly rent to the council.

President of Manadhoo Council Abdul Rahman said that this is part of the council’s efforts to find the best solutions for the people of Manadhoo.

“Services of Manadhoo Council are not limited to this island. As such, the services, as well as the building should be of good standard. The announcement regarding leasing the piece of land, was also made for the benefit of the people,” said the council president.
