The Criminal Court has extended the period of detention for Managing Director of Al-Fat’h Hajj and Umra Group, Mustafa Mohamed, 68.
The police spokesperson said that the detention was extended yesterday.
Mustafa was arrested under a court warrant, after police searched his residence and the office of Al-Fat’h Hajj and Umra Group, at around 6:00 p.m. on 12 September.
Police said that investigations thus far have shown that the group collected payment from more people than allowed by the quota issued by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, with the promise of organising the hajj pilgrimage.
