President extends Eid greetings

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has extended greetings to the people of the Maldives on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The President and First Lady, who are presently in Mecca, departed for the hajj pilgrimage on 26 September.

The President is accompanied by Leader of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Deputy Leader of MDA and Kendhikulhudhoo MP Ali Mauroof, and some ministers and senior officials of the government.
