The CCTV camera at the office building of Minivan News has been smashed and stolen in an attempt to threaten journalists.
The police spokesperson told Sun that the incident, wherein the camera at the Minivan News office building was stolen, was reported to the police at 2:50 p.m.
Police said that they are looking into the matter, but no one has been arrested yet.
Deputy Editor of Minivan News Zaheena Rasheed told Sun that the theft of the security camera, as well as the machete left on the door of the office, have left its journalists in a state of fear.
She said that in addition to reporting the incidents, they have also requested the police to provide security to Minivan News.
“We realized that the camera had been stolen when the display showed an error message that said ‘no video’. We have footage that shows a man stealing the camera. We have been told by the security person that two other men came on motorcycles and left a machete in the door of the apartment opposite the office,” Zaheena said.
