Construction material for sewerage system project taken to Hoarafushi

Transportation is underway, of the construction material required for the sewerage system to be established in in Haa Alifu Hoarafushi.

Assistant Manager for the project of establishing a sewerage system in Hoarafushi, Hassan Naeem, told Sun that the delivery of the construction supplies started three days ago, and that it will be completed within the next two days.

“Three boats of supplies have been delivered. All the supplies will be delivered in the next two to three days. The supplies delivered include cement and pipes,” said Hassan.

He also said that the project is scheduled to begin at the end of this month and is to be completed within two years.

The island council could not be contacted for a comment, as there was no answer on their phone, at the time of publication.

The project of establishing a sewerage system in Hoarafushi has been contracted with Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) who has subcontracted the project to Sas Construction.
