International Teachers

The International Teachers’ Conference 2014 is underway at Villa College in Male’.

The conference, organised by the National Institute of Education (NIE) and Villa College, will be attended by teachers from Maldives and several other countries, as well as officials representing the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) and local NGOs.

The conference will be held from 8 to 10 September, and participants will also visit Billabong High International School and Ghiyaasuddin International School.

The theme for the second International Teachers’ Conference is ‘Rethinking Social Transformation and Harmony’.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister of Education Dr Aishath Shiham, Rector of Villa College Dr Ahmed Anwar, and senior officials of the Ministry of Education, Villa College, and NIE.
