Lorry driver injured in accident in Hulhumale

A foreign lorry driver has been seriously injured in Hulhumale’ today, after his lorry crashed into a tree.

The police said that the accident took place near Flat 137 on Nirolhu Magu, and the lorry was speeding when it crashed into a tree on the eastern side of the road.

He further said that the driver was stuck inside the lorry, and suffered injuries to his leg.

The driver is being treated at Hulhumale’ Hospital, but details of his injuries are unclear.

Police said that the accident is under investigation.
