Police search house in Male

The police have searched a house in Male’ as part of their search operation for Minivan News journalist, Ahmed Rilwan Abdulla, who is believed to have been missing since 8 August.

Sources have told Sun Online that the police searched Bulbulaage in Mahchangolhi, at around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The police spokesperson said that at this stage, it was not possible to reveal if the search was related to Rilwan’s disappearance.

He added that the police often search locations in Male’ in relation to various crimes.

When asked repeatedly for information on the search operation for Rilwan, police said that these efforts are ongoing continuously, and Rilwan has not yet been found.

Rilwan was reported missing by his family on 13 August. Since then, police and MNDF have carried out joint search operations in Male’, Hulhumale’, and the sea around Hulhumale’.
