The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has warned that bad weather will be experienced across the country over the next 24 hours, due to the southwest monsoon.
The Met Office Spokesperson said that this includes heavy rain in central and southern Maldives.
He added that no damage caused by bad weather has been reported by any island over the past 24 hours.
Met Office has said that south-westerly winds will be experienced between 5 to 15 miles per hour in the south, and north-westerly winds will be experienced between 13 to 23 miles per hour in other regions; while winds are expected to pick up to 45 miles per hour during rainstorms.
The office also warned travellers of strong winds and rough seas during rainstorms, and advised caution when travelling by sea.
