Man drowns in Bileidhoo

A man has drowned in Faafu Bileidhoo while working to scrap seaweed off a boat in the island's harbour.

Vice President of Bileidhoo Council Ahmed Fawaz said that the victim, 30-year-old Mohamed Nafiz from Shabnamge, a resident of the island, has a history of heart problems, and that he is believed to have drowned after suffering from a heart attack while swimming today. A police media official said that Nafiz was already dead when he was taken to the island's health centre.
