The Ministry of Economic Development has granted permission for cafes and restaurants to stay open until 3:00 a.m. for the first six days of Shawwal, after the month of Ramadan.
The ministry said in an announcement that this follows requests from religious groups, and noted that this is also consistent with the Ramadan working hours announced by the government, which includes the first six days of Shawwal.
In the announcement, it also urged people who visit cafes and restaurants to refrain from anti-social behaviour.
Earlier, the ministry also granted temporary permission for cafes and restaurants to stay open until 3:00 a.m. following the commencement of World Cup.
