Qatar Airways will provide an Iftar meal box to its fasting passengers travelling on the airline's intra-Gulf routes during the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Airways has said.
The meals can be chosen instead of the inflight food and beverage service on board intra-Gulf Qatar Airways’ flights. It allow those passengers observing Ramadan to break their fast with a fresh and healthy choice of food and beverage, the airline said.
Contents were selected to allow passengers a fresh meal at whatever time they chose to eat and typically include; bottled water, Arabic sweets, a vegetarian and non-vegetarian sandwich wrap, healthy snacks, a banana and a yoghurt drink, Qatar Airways said.
A spokesperson from Qatar Airways said that the airline recognizes that passengers who are fasting during Ramadan might chose not to eat at the times the airline provides its typical food and beverage service.
“These Ramadan boxes ensure that all of our passengers have a conveniently parceled meal to enable them to break their fast at their convenience, whether it be on board one of our flights or later during their onward journey,” said the Qatar Airways spokesperson.
Qatar Airways, the State of Qatar’s national airline, has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operation, to the point where today it is flying a modern fleet of 134 aircraft to 143 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
