Nahla Ali appointed as Executive Coordinator at Foreign Ministry

Nahla Ali has been appointed as Executive Coordinator at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Foreign Ministry.

Nahla contested for Komandoo seat in the 18th parliament on Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) ticket. She lost the election to Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) candidate Ahmed Nashid.

An official of Foreign Ministry said that Nahla will be in charge of the ministry’s public information unit, and especially issues related to the media.

Nahla said that she started work as Executive Coordinator at Foreign Ministry last Wednesday.

Nahla holds a Master’s Degree in Politics and Economics, and entered politics through PPM. Prior to that, she was a member of the board of Maldives Broadcasting Corporation.
