Salim appointed as Acting MD of MTCC

Hussain Salim has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director (MD) of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc.

The decision to appoint Salim to this post was finalised by the company's Board of Directors today.

Salim will serve as Acting MD until a person is appointed as MD by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Former MD of MTCC Ahmed Shiham Ali was dismissed on 7 June. He was appointed to the post in December 2013.

MTCC announced a profit of MVR 26.74 million and dividend of MVR 16 per share at the end of 2013.
