GMR Group has said that they will take care of the passengers of Thomson Airways plane which had to make an emergency landing at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) today.
A short press release by GMR today indicates that the Thomson Airways’ Boeing 767 aircraft made an emergency landing due to a technical problem faced by the aircraft avionics.
They also said that all steps necessary in the event of an emergency were taken by INIA in collaboration with Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Male’ Heath Corporation.
Also, the airline will decide when the plane will depart, and the requirements of its passengers will be taken care of by GMR until then.
Transport Ministry has said that no person was injured when the Thomson Airways plane made an emergency landing at INIA today.
They also said that the airport status is now back to normal.
