Police launch search for individual suspected of stealing from MIRA

Police have posted a video on their website in search of an individual suspected of stealing a large sum of money from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

Police said that the individual has been suspected of stealing MVR 26,000 that had been placed on the service counter at MIRA on Sunday.

Media official of the police told Sun Online today that the MVR 26,000 belonged to a person who visited the counter to pay the money to MIRA.

Police have urged anyone who has any information on the man seen in the video to come forward and contact the police without delay.
