One arrested in relation to Maradhoo accident

One person has been arrested today in relation to an accident in Maradhoo, Addu City, on Saturday evening.

Police said that a 29-year-old man has been arrested under a court warrant in Addu City on suspicion of speeding.

Hassan Naseer, 69, died early morning while being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Hithadhoo Regional Hospital for injuries sustained in this accident.

Naseer had suffered a serious head injury, and several other injuries.

A source from Maradhoo told Sun Online that Naseer was entering his home on his motorcycle when he was hit by a speeding motorcycle going towards Hithadhoo.
