STO to establish warehouse for Ramadan

State Trading Organisation (STO) has decided to establish a special warehouse for Ramadan.

Managing Director of STO Adam Azim told Sun Online that the purpose of this warehouse would be to ensure that the stock for Ramadan-special products do not run out.

“We have faced this problem before – that stocks run out for the products we import for Ramadan. This warehouse will ensure that those products are available to customers,” he said.

STO has promised that the price of onion and potatoes will not increase beyond MVR 10 per kilo, and the price of an egg will not increase beyond MVR 1.25 during Ramadan.

Azim said that STO will take several measures to ensure that stocks do not run out during Ramadan.
