President Yameen arrives in Tokyo

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this morning arrived in Tokyo, Japan.

During his visit, the President will meet with His Majesty Emperor Akihito and hold discussions Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and other senior Ministers of the Japanese Government on further improving and expanding relations between Maldives and Japan.

President Yameen is also scheduled to meet with business leaders and potential investors with views on further expanding economic opportunities for Maldives in Japan.

The President’s visit to Japan is in answer to an invitation extended by Prime ?Minister Shinzo Abe.
