17-year-old arrested with drugs

Police have arrested a 17-year-old minor with drugs near North Harbour, Male’ on Saturday.

Police discovered 172 pieces of cellophane-packed drugs hidden in a cardboard box from the boy. He was arrested around 5:50 p.m. The boy was trying to ship the box to an island in the atolls, police said.

Police are investigating the case.
