ACC officials enter parliament following corruption allegations

Officials of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) have entered the parliament building to investigate corruption allegations against some administrative employees of the parliament.

President of ACC Hassan Luthfee told Sun Online that some parliament employees have been accused of submitting proposals when the parliament sought parties to supply IT equipment for its new building.

He said that the Parliament Secretariat was entered by police on two occasions earlier today, and by ACC officials this afternoon and tonight to investigate these allegations. He said that the operation, which was conducted in cooperation with the parliament, was concluded at around 10:30 p.m.
