Mohamed Saleem appointed as President

Mohamed Saleem (Reynis Saleem) has been appointed as the President’s member to Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

President Waheed presented the letter of appointment to Saleem at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this afternoon. Prior to the presentation of the letter of appointment, Saleem took the oath of membership of JSC.

Saleem previously acted as Deputy Speaker of Parliament and lawyer of Dhiggaru MP Mohamed Nazim. Saleem has served the legal sector for over seventeen years.

Government Spokesperson Abbas Adil Riza earlier said that the President’s member to JSC will be appointed after discussion with leaders of political parties.
