Man yellow sprayed for yelling

A man on the street who yelled ‘traitor’ at two women has been stripped of his clothes and ‘yellow sprayed’.

The man was among former President Nasheed’s supporters who gathered when Nasheed was summoned to Human Rights Commission last week.

A witness said that the man yelled ‘traitor’ at two women who were passing by, to which one of the women replied, “We are proud to be traitors.”

The man got angry and hit the woman on the mouth, injuring her.

The incident was not reported to Police.

Sun is informed that a group related to the two women sought after the man and took him to a garage in Maafannu. They stripped off his clothes and sprayed yellow spray all over him, made him walk to MDP Haruge and left him there.

The man has told his story to some TV stations.
