MACL reduces jet fuel prices

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has reduced the price of jet fuel for international and domestic flights.

MACL’s General Manager Airport Fuel Services Mohamed Niyaz told Sun Online that the price of jet fuel was reduced today by 17 laari per litre.

“We have reduced jet fuel prices following the change in world prices. We now sell jet fuel to international flights for MVR 16.96 per litre, and to domestic flights for MVR 16.72 per litre. GST of 6 percent will be added for domestic flights,” he said.

In March, MACL’s price of jet fuel was MVR 17.14 per litre for international flights and MVR 16.90 per litre for domestic flights.

This is the second time MACL reduced jet fuel prices this year. In January, jet fuel price for international flights stood at $1.14428 per litre, which was reduced to $1.09036 per litre in February.
