Economic Minister meets with heads of big companies

Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has met with heads of leading companies in the Maldives, to discuss expediting government efforts to attract foreign investment.

Ministry of Economic Development said that the purpose of this meeting with heads of major public companies, private companies, foreign companies and financial institutions, was to garner support for the Maldives Investment Forum 2014 in Singapore, organised to facilitate the implementation of key projects pledged by the government.

Maldives Investment Forum 2014 has been scheduled for 25 April.

Economic Ministry said that the participants of the meeting assured that they will fully cooperate with the government’s efforts to achieve its economic goals.

The ministry thanked everyone for their support to the government, in relation to its efforts to improve the country’s economic situation.
