Object resembling bomb found on beach in Baarah

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has initiated an investigation after an object resembling a bomb drifted ashore on Haa Alifu Baarah.

Police said that the object was found at around 5:30 p.m., following which it was handed over to MNDF.

Police said that more information will be provided by MNDF.

Repeated attempts by Sun Online to contact MNDF Media Official Major Hussain Ali have so far not been successful.
