No tourists on-board missing safari boat, says MNDF

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that only Maldivians, and no tourists, were on-board the safari boat that went missing while en route to Male’ from Gaafu Dhaalu Kaadedhdhoo.

MNDF Officer Hussain Ali told Sun Online today that Blue Voyage Cruises Aldebaran was carrying five Maldivians when it went missing.

Search efforts are ongoing by Coast Guard in cooperation with the boat owner.

MNDF said that the 28-meter long, white boat was last contacted at 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
