Voting to begin later on Saturday in Gaafaru due to shortage of officials

Elections Commission has announced that voting will begin one and a half hours later in Kaafu Gaafaru, due to shortage of officials.

The commission said that voting in Gaafaru will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.

In other islands across the country, voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

Elections Commission Media Officer Aishath Shifana Ahmed said that officials will be provided to Gaafaru from Kaashidhoo.

Voting will begin in Colombo, Sri Lanka and Trivandrum, India at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m., while it will begin at 11:a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
