Hithadhoo accident victim taken to Male

Hithadhoo Regional Hospital has said that the woman who was injured in a recent accident in Hithadhoo has been taken to Male’ for treatment.

Hawwa Ahmed, 32, sustained serious injuries in an accident wherein a jeep, driven by an intoxicated man, a car and a motorcycle collided on Wednesday night.

Head of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital Shah Saeed told Sun today that Hawwa was taken to Male’ on Thursday night, accompanied by a doctor and a nurse from the hospital.

He said that Hawwa was given as much treatment as possible for her injuries at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.

Hawwa suffered a broken leg and head injuries, but extent of these injuries can only be determined after tests at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’, said Shah.

The accident left Hawwa under the jeep, which ran into with a car and a motorcycle while speeding on the wrong side of the road towards Koattey from Gan.
