Prince William and Kate Middleton arrive in Maldives

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have arrived in the Maldives.

Sun is aware that the couple arrived at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) on British Airways at 9:40 a.m.

Security at the airport was tightened as soon as they arrived, and they were whisked away in a car to the VIP Lounge by their personal security guards.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the Maldives for a short holiday; but where they will stay, or if their son Prince George is with them - is not yet known.

The Maldivian government invited Prince William and Kate Middleton to visit the Maldives after they got married back in 2011.

Maldives has also been visited by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair for a holiday in 2012, and Queen Elizabeth II on an official visit during Ibrahim Nasir’s presidency.
