President concludes presidential address

Summary
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will give his presidential address at 10 a.m. today, during the inauguration of the parliament, in its first sitting of its first term for the year 2014. The Constitution states that at the beginning of the first session of each year, at the first sitting, the President shall address the parliament on the status of the country and may present proposals for improving the status to the parliament. Today's presidential address will be the first presidential address delivered by President Abdulla Yameen at a parliament inauguration. President Yameen took office in November last year.
