Man arrested for attacking Police

A man was arrested last night, for attacking a Police officer and trying to flee the scene.

Police said that the officer was attacked at around 22:00 last night while he was at home, located on the Campus lane. The attacker tried to flee the scene, but Police went and arrested him.

The attacker also lives in the same building as the Police officer. The Police officer escaped without much harm.

Superintendent of Police Ahmed Mohamed said in a press conference held at Iskandar koshi yesterday that steps as strict as the law allows will be taken against those responsible for such attacks, including producing them in court for prosecution.

Of late, attacks of various degrees on Police daily are on the rise.
