Members of the Elections Commission have been summoned to the Supreme Court at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday), for challenging Supreme Court orders.
In an order issued today, Supreme Court said that Elections Commission members had committed contempt of court while speaking at press conferences.
Supreme Court, in its order, also accused Elections Commission members of refusing to implement its order regarding the dissolution of small political parties, and also challenging an order issued on 9 January and violating Article 145 (c) of the Constitution.
Today’s order was signed by the court’s Acting Registrar.
