Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) tickets for the upcoming Parliamentary Election have been confirmed for five more candidates.
Results of the Primaries held yesterday (Sunday) show that Gan ticket was won with 433 votes by sitting MP Yoosuf Abdul Gafoor, who contested against Ahmed Rasheed who received 231 votes.
Isdhoo ticket was won with 419 votes by sitting MP Ahmed Rasheed Ibrahim, who contested against Ali Nasir who received 154 votes.
Maduvvari ticket was won with 154 votes by TV presenter Mohamed Ameeth Ahmed, who contested against six others including Aminath Nadhira who received 29 votes, Mohamed Shiham who received 98 votes, Mohamed Rameel who received 86 votes, and Mohamed Athif who received 66 votes.
Gadhdhoo ticket was won with 349 votes by Ahmed Rasheed, who contested against Ahmed Amru who received 36 votes.
Feydhoo ticket was won with 423 votes by Ibrahim Didi, who contested against three others including Ahmed Marzoog who received 191 votes, Mohamed Mu’umin who received 61 votes, and Hawwa Zahira who received 50 votes.
