Fourteen of the arrested people tested positive for illicit drugs

Police have said that fourteen people arrested so far have tested positive for illicit drugs. They were arrested following the unrest caused by MDP protests against the opening session of the Parliament yesterday.

Police did not disclose their names or what kind of drugs they had been using. Police have so far arrested 64 people following yesterday’s unrest.

Eleven Police officers were also injured, of which one whose condition is serious has been sent abroad for treatment.
