Secretary General appointed at Ministry of Islamic Affairs

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has said that Thoha Naeem of Fathis, Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, has been appointed as its Secretary General.

This appointment was made about two days ago at deputy minister level.

This has also been confirmed by Spokesperson at President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz.

Muaz said that there are no plans to appoint Secretary Generals at other ministries.

“Islamic Ministry is different compared with other ministries. There are several similar posts at Islamic Ministry,” he said.

Imam at Masjid Al Sultan is also appointed at deputy minister level at Islamic Ministry.
