Private Partnership projects halted and to be reviewed

The government has made the decision to review the projects under Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Economic Minister Ahmed Mohamed said today that the projects need to be reviewed as they require amendment. The projects will not continue until the review process is completed.

He said that projects for which agreements have been signed will continue.

“Our policy is to continue with projects which are under agreement. So those PPP projects will not be disrupted,” Ahmed said.

Former government had planned several huge projects such as building of regional airports, harbors and construction of roads under PPP.
