Iyaz dismissed from post of Registrar of Companies at Economic Ministry

Mohamed Iyaz has been dismissed from the post of Registrar of Companies at Ministry of Economic Development.

A government official told Sun Online that Iyaz was dismissed the day after he was appointed to this post.

He was appointed as Registrar of Companies at Ministry of Economic Development at Deputy Minister level on 31 December 2013.

Spokesperson at President’s Office Muaz Ali told Sun Online, “The president has the authority to appoint and dismiss people. Appointing and dismissing people is done at the discretion of the president. That’s how it is.”

Muaz said that Iyaz did not attend work as Registrar of Companies when he was dismissed.
