President, Vice President appointed to Customs Integrity Commission

Members of the Customs Integrity Commission have after discussion appointed Yoosuf Maniu Mohamed as its President, and Jihadha Anees as its Vice President.

In a statement, the Customs Integrity Commission said today that information on these appointments have been sent to the President and the Parliament.

Customs Integrity Commission was constituted on 30 December 2013 by President Yameen Abdul Gayoom, as per Article 28 (a) of the Customs Act.

The commission said that it hopes that arrangements necessary for it to start functioning will be completed soon.
