Woman falls from third storey while trying to steal from house in Mahchangolhi

A 32-year-old woman has fallen from the third storey and injured herself, while trying to steal from a house in the narrow street opposite Aminiya School.

The police said that the incident was reported late last night (Thursday night), and that the house from which she tried to steal was Ma. Light Corner.

Three people were working together in this theft – a 28-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, and the 32-year-old woman who fell.

The police have not revealed any details of the woman’s injuries, but eyewitnesses told Sun Online that she was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) early morning.

IGMH officials have said that she suffered a broken arm, and will need an operation.

Lately, incidents of people falling from high storeys while trying to steal have been on the rise. For instance, a man fell from the sixth storey of a house on 4 January while trying to flee the police.
