President establishes Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Council

President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has constituted the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Council.

The Chairperson of the 14-member Council is Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, and the Deputy Chairperson is Salah Shihab.

The members of this Council are Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Mohamed Shainee, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adheeb, Minister of Finance Abdulla Jihad, Minister of Sports Mohamed Maleeh Jamal, Juwairiya Wajdhee as a female entrepreneur representative, Mohamed Waseem Ismail as a fisheries sector representative, Salah Shihab as an agriculture sector representative, Ismail Faseeh as a tourism sector representative, Rafeeuddeen Naseem as a communications sector representative, Lubna Moosa as an environment sector representative, Abdulla Mohamed as a construction sector representative, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) Fathimath Shafeega, and Commissioner General of Taxation Yazeed Mohamed.
