Man dies in Addu road accident

An old man, aged 54, has died today in a road accident at Addu city. The accident occurred on the Link Road, near the Waste Management Area.

The Police informed that the man died when he lost control of his motorcycle, and hit a tree to the side of the road.

The Police also informed that the man was immediately taken to the hospital following the accident, and that he passed away around sunset, while under treatment at the hospital. Personal information about the man have not yet been disclosed by the police.

Sub-Inspector Ahmed Shiyam, Police Media Official, said that the accident looked likely to have been caused, when the old man lost control of his vehicle upon seeing another motorcycle lose control and go berserk.
