Former President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Mohamed Fahumy Hassan has filed a case in Civil Court seeking compensation for the salary withheld from him after Supreme Court’s ordered to reinstate him to his post.
Parliament dismissed Fahumy last year over allegations of sexual harassment of a female CSC employee.
An official from the Civil Court said today that the case was filed against the state and the court has now accepted the case.
Fahumy was appointed Maldives’ deputy high commissioner to Malaysia in late November 2013.
