Mohamed Zuhair appointed Secretary General of PPM

Mohamed Zuhair has been appointed as the Secretary General of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

An official of PPM confirmed that this appointment was approved by the party’s council three days ago.

PPM’s Regulation states that the nominations made by the president of the party for the post of Secretary General must be approved by the council.

In a tweet yesterday, President of PPM Maumoon Abdul Gayoom congratulated Zuhair on being appointed Secretary General of PPM.

Zuhair has been a leading member of PPM since the party was formed.

Zuhair was appointed to this post following the appointment of PPM’s former Secretary General Zaha Waheed as Minister of State for Fisheries and Agriculture.
