MNDF awards decorations to 98 officers

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has awarded medals and ribbons to 98 officers.

The decorations were presented by the Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam at an event at Bandaara Koshi yesterday morning.

MNDF revealed that the Dedicated Service Medal was awarded to one officer, the National Security Service Medal was awarded to two officers, the Good Conduct Medal was awarded to two officers and the Silver Life Saving Medal was awarded to two officers.

In addition, two officers received the Presidential Ribbon, three officers received the Achievement Ribbon, thirteen officers received the Ribbon of Skill, fifteen officers received the National Security Service Ribbon, thirty nine officers received the Good Conduct Ribbon, twenty five officers received the Dedicated Service Ribbon, twelve officers received the Long Service Ribbon and eleven officer received the Special Duty Ribbon.

MNDF said the colours are awarded to recognize the person’s invaluable service, achievements, skill and discipline.
