National flag to fly at half-mast in respect to Mandela

President’s Office has announced that the Maldivian national flag will be flown at half-mast to mourn the passing of former South African President Nelson Mandela.

Mandela died earlier Thursday, 5 December 2013 at the age of 95.

President’s Office said President Yameen made the decision on Friday and that the flag will stay at half-mast for three days, until Monday, 9 December.
