Police discover drugs buried in Male

Police have discovered a large stockpile of drugs buried in a narrow alleyway joining Buruzu Magu in Male’.

Police said the excavation yielded drugs packed and buried in 30 bullets, 77 packets, 2 cellophanes and 1 photo-film container, in different parts of the alleyway. Large quantities of empty rubber packets were also discovered from the alleyway, locally known as Saiboani Goalhi. The inspection was carried out following a tip-off, police said.

Police said the liquid drugs weigh 22.86 grams and the powder substances weigh 54.62 grams.

The case is under investigation.
