Names of four appointees to the cabinet submitted to parliament for approval

President Yameen Abdul Gayoom has submitted names of four more appointees to the cabinet to the parliament, for its approval.

The President’s Office said that as per Article 129 of the Constitution, the names of cabinet members, appointed on 21 November, that have been submitted to the parliament are Minister of Education Dr Aishath Shiham, Minister of Health and Gender Dr Maryam Shakeela, Minister of Youth and Sports Mohamed Maleeh Jamal, and Attorney General Mohamed Anil.

The President’s Office said that with this round, sending of names of appointees to the cabinet for parliament approval has been completed.
