No-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker recalled

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has recalled the motion of no confidence against the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Dhiggaru MP Ahmed Nazim.

Speaker Abdulla Shahid announced today that the motion has been recalled, but did not provide details.

The motion was presented to parliament with signatures from a total of 35 MPs from MDP and the Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP). The motion accused MP Ahmed Nazim of being biased in his conduct of the parliament.
